Part 6

“What are we going to do?” Why do I feel suddenly tired? Maybe It’s just from how much I have been sleeping. I moved us here maybe I can move us back.
“Don’t even think about it, Rita.” Al interrupts my thoughts. “Remember what ‘adult’ Robert said?

Part 5

I wake to one German Shepherd and three cats surrounding me. It’s the middle of the night and the only one awake is Al. “Hey, why are you awake?” I whisper trying not to wake anyone else.

Part 4

“We’re still on the farm! We didn’t move at all…” I hear Randy across the room, presumably at the opening of the shelter. “I’m going to check it out. I need to see what the damage is and to see if any of the larger animals survived. That was a crazy storm.”

Part 3

I am stuck in the fog. Looking around the fog reminds me of that one time I had clam chowder. It is thick and I can feel it surrounding me. I don’t think this is a normal fog. I feel like I’m swimming.

Part 2

I hear the twisters getting closer and squeeze tight to my younger siblings. I have to do something so I close my eyes, concentrating hard. Maybe, just maybe, I can get them out of here.

Part 1

The expanse of green and dark grey haunts my vision as I look out the bay window in the library.

Introduction

The story goes that there once was a witch with magnificent power. She was a benevolent soul to start with but then she encountered the human race. Very few humans were genuinely kind to her so she began to build up a wall around her heart. If a human came to visit her it was usually to ask her to grant some desire of theirs.
